The Project
The La Mirada station was the sixth and final project in ICA’s first hydrogen refueling station program in North America. The objective was to construct retail hydrogen refueling station infrastructure at an active ICA petroleum gas station using NEL-supplied equipment.
The project was divided into two phases. The first phase involved relocating the current electrical infrastructure that traversed the area designated for the new equipment compound. This was carefully coordinated to minimize any power outages that could affect an adjacent fire station.
Once the utility relocation was complete, FASTECH began the project’s second phase – constructing the hydrogen station.
